What we collect
Email address, only if you subscribe. When you use a "Get alerts" form, your email address and the tag of the page you subscribed from (for example, "offers" or "retailer-sixt") are sent to Buttondown, the email service we use. We use the tag to send you only the alerts you asked for. Nothing else is attached to your address: no name, no purchase history, no browsing data.
Server logs. The site is served by Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare records standard request data (IP address, browser type, the page requested, the time) to serve the page and to block abuse. We see aggregate traffic counts, not individual visitors. Cloudflare's handling of that data is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, see which pages and links are used, and understand where readers come from. It sets a first-party cookie to tell returning browsers apart and sends page views and outbound-link clicks to Google. We don't send it your email address or anything typed into a form, we don't use it for advertising, and Google Signals (cross-site ad personalization) is off. Google's handling of that data is described in Google's policy for partner sites. Most content blockers stop it, and the site works the same either way.
A preference saved in your browser. The offers page remembers which card issuers you selected, in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and we can't read it.
Nothing else today. No advertising cookies, no session replay, no social-media pixels, no login.
Fonts
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which means Google sees the request (IP address and browser) the same way it would for any site using Google Fonts. Google states it does not use these requests for advertising. If you would rather avoid it, most browsers and content blockers can block fonts.googleapis.com; the site remains readable with system fonts.
When you click out
Most of the value of this site is in links to other companies: retailers, cashback portals (Rakuten, TopCashback, Capital One Shopping), and card issuers. Some of those links are affiliate or referral links, which is how the site is paid for (see the affiliate disclosure). An affiliate link carries an identifier that tells the destination the click came from Stackable. It does not carry your email address or anything else about you.
Once you are on the other site, that company's privacy policy applies. Cashback portals in particular need to track your purchases to pay you; that tracking is theirs, not ours, and we never receive it. We do not know what you bought, and we are not told whether a specific person signed up or purchased. Affiliate networks report totals to us, not identities.
Email: what we send and how to stop it
Subscribers get the alerts they signed up for and an occasional weekly note. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom; one click removes you and we do not email again. You can also reply to any email or write to hello@stackable.deals and we'll remove you by hand.
Buttondown stores the list on our behalf. Its privacy policy is at buttondown.com/legal/privacy. Buttondown records when an email was opened or a link clicked, which is standard for email services; we use that only to see which alerts are useful.
Your rights
Whatever jurisdiction you are in, the practical answer is the same: email hello@stackable.deals and we will tell you what we hold (an email address and a subscription tag, or nothing) and delete it on request, normally within a few days. Residents of the EU, UK, and California have specific statutory rights to access, correct, delete, and object; we honor all of them for everyone, without asking where you live.
We do not sell personal information and have not done so, in the sense of the California Consumer Privacy Act or any other law.
Children
The site is written for adults making purchases. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If a child has subscribed, email us and we will remove the address.
Changes
This policy describes the site as it is on the date at the top. Stackable is built to grow, and how it is paid for may change: reader accounts, sponsorships, or advertising that respects the reader could be added in the future. If any of that happens, the date will change, the change will be described here in plain language, and anything that needs your consent will ask for it. What will not change is the first line of the short version: we don't sell, rent, or share your email address.
