Farfetch is a marketplace, not a store. Every item is priced and shipped by an independent boutique or brand, which is why the same jacket can show two prices, why the sale depth swings by seller, and why the cashback exclusion list is long. The stack is a fork: on a full-price first order the 15% welcome code beats any portal, and on a sale item the portal is the only layer that applies. Pick the right path and don't try to combine them.

The 30-second answer

The best current Farfetch stack (it's a fork)

Rates read from each portal's farfetch.com store page. The code and the portal don't reliably combine.

  • Path A: welcome code NC15FF
First order only; not listed on any portal, so expect it to void cashback
    15% off
  • Path B: TopCashback (new customer)
4.5% on orders over $800; 2.5% under; 1% for existing customers
    4.5%
  • Path B: Rakuten
Flat 2%, any customer; referral codes void it
    2%
  • Amex / Chase Offer
Last Farfetch Amex Offer was 2020
    $0
$1,200 full-price, new customer (code vs portal)
$180 vs $54
Best case: buy the sale piece (up to 70% off plus an extra 20% right now) through TopCashback with no code, and save NC15FF for a full-price piece where 15% is worth more.

Retailer overview

Farfetch was the largest luxury marketplace in the world when Coupang, the Korean e-commerce group, bought it out of near-collapse in January 2024. The founder and executive team left, Kering (Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga) and Neiman Marcus pulled off the platform, and the white-label business shut down. The consumer site kept going, and it still lists hundreds of boutiques and brands shipping to the US.

The marketplace model is the thing to internalize. A boutique in Milan sets its own price for an item, a boutique in Tokyo sets a different one, and Farfetch shows you whichever ships to you. Sale depth depends on the seller. Cashback tracks normally on the Farfetch order, but the brand exclusion list is longer than at a single-seller retailer, and the welcome and referral codes don’t play well with portals.

Cashback portal strategy

Portal New customer Existing customer Exclusions
TopCashback 4.5% over $800.01, 2.5% under 1% Gucci, Marla Aaron, Foundrae, Chanel beauty; cart must start empty
Rakuten 2% 2% Chanel beauty, Gucci, Fendi, Marla Aaron, David Yurman, Foundrae, gift cards, referral-code orders

For a first order over $800, TopCashback at 4.5% is the portal. For everyone else, Rakuten’s flat 2% edges TopCashback’s 1%. Neither portal differentiates sale from full-price, so the sale-through-portal path is clean.

Cashback is calculated on item price net of tax, shipping, and duties. TopCashback wants an empty cart before you click through and takes claims within 60 days. Farfetch’s Rakuten spike history is unverified; we found no 2025 or 2026 spike, so plan on the base rate.

Credit card / Amex Offer strategy

Farfetch’s last documented Amex Offer was 16,000 Membership Rewards on $800, expiring September 2020. Nothing since. No Chase Offer surfaced for 2025 or 2026. Treat the card layer as inactive; check the Offers tab out of habit, not hope.

Farfetch bills in USD for US customers with a US shipping address. Pay with a card that has purchase protection; at these prices and with a marketplace seller on the other end, that matters more than points.

Codes, referral, and Farfetch Access

Welcome code. NC15FF gives 15% off a first order (Farfetch also runs “15% off your first app order”). It isn’t listed on Rakuten or TopCashback, so assume it voids cashback. On any full-price first order, 15% beats 4.5%, so this is the play for full-price.

Referral. Farfetch has a refer-a-friend program (the give and get amounts aren’t published on the public page). The one hard fact: Rakuten’s terms deny cashback on any order using a referral code. It’s the code or the portal.

Other codes. 10% for students (18 to 25, via Student Beans), key workers, and over-60s. Same unlisted-code caveat.

Farfetch Access. The loyalty program survived the Coupang takeover. Five tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Private Client) based on 12-month spend. Silver and up get free shipping; Private Client gets priority phone support. Spend thresholds aren’t published. It’s a perks program, not a points program, so there’s nothing to stack, but free shipping on a $1,500 order is worth having.

Best time of year to buy

Farfetch runs sale pricing more days than not. A third-party tracker counted discounts on 49 of the last 82 days as of mid-September 2026.

Final Reductions (now)
Up to 70% off, plus an extra 20% off sale at checkout. No code, so the portal still pays. This is where Farfetch beats every single-seller competitor.
70% + 20%
Summer sale waves
2026: June 17 to July 10 (up to 60%), July 21 to 30 (up to 70%), August 6 to 8 (up to 70%). Depth increases wave by wave; sizes thin out the same way.
50-70% off
Winter sale
Late December into February. Same wave structure.
50-70% off
Full-price, first order
Any time. NC15FF, shop direct, no portal.
15% off
Compare landed price, not sticker. Because each boutique sets its own price and currency, the same SKU can be $200 apart on Farfetch depending on seller, and Mytheresa or Net-a-Porter (standardized regional pricing) can beat both. Check the checkout total with duties before deciding.

Duties, shipping, and returns

  • Duties: Farfetch ships DDP to the US. Duties are calculated and added at checkout, so there’s no surprise carrier bill. They don’t earn cashback.
  • Shipping: free on full-price orders over $250 (per Rakuten’s page); Silver-tier Access and above get free shipping regardless.
  • Returns: 14 days from delivery for the item to reach the originating boutique. Free prepaid DHL or UPS label. US duties refunded. Final Sale items can’t be returned, and at 70% off plus 20% a lot of items are Final Sale; check the product page.

Common exclusions

  • Gucci, Fendi, Chanel beauty, David Yurman, Marla Aaron, and Foundrae earn no cashback
  • Gift cards earn nothing
  • Referral-code orders earn no Rakuten cashback (stated in the terms)
  • Unlisted promo codes (NC15FF included) may void cashback on Rakuten and do on TopCashback
  • Cashback is on item price only; duties, tax, and shipping don’t count

Checkout sequence

  1. Decide the path. Full-price first order: Path A, code. Sale item, or not your first order: Path B, portal.
  2. Path A: go direct to farfetch.com, build the cart, apply NC15FF at checkout. No portal click.
  3. Path B: empty cart, clean session, ad blockers off. Activate TopCashback (first order over $800) or Rakuten (everyone else). Click through and build the cart from scratch.
  4. Check the brand against the exclusion list before you commit; a Gucci piece earns nothing on either portal.
  5. Confirm the duties line at checkout. That's your landed price. Compare it against Mytheresa or Net-a-Porter for the same SKU.
  6. Pay with a card that has purchase protection and no foreign transaction fee.
  7. Path B: confirm the portal shows the order pending within 48 hours.
Worked example

$1,200 order, new customer

Path A: NC15FF 15% off, no portal$180.00
Path B: TopCashback 4.5%, no code$54.00
Path A wins by$126.00

The better play than either: buy a Final Reductions piece (say $1,200 marked down to $360 with the extra 20%) through TopCashback, then use NC15FF later on a full-price item where 15% is worth more.

Get alerted when Farfetch's sale deepens or a portal spikes.

Final Reductions move in waves. We email when the "extra 20% off sale" layer appears and whenever either portal moves above 5%.

FAQ

Can I use NC15FF and still get cashback?
Don't count on it. Rakuten's terms say unlisted codes may void cashback and TopCashback's say they do. NC15FF isn't listed on either. On a $1,200 first order the code is worth $180 and the best portal $54, so take the code and skip the click.
Does a referral code stack with Rakuten?
No. Rakuten's Farfetch terms state it outright, cashback is not paid when a Farfetch refer-a-friend code is used. Use one or the other.
Do I earn cashback on sale items?
Yes. Neither portal restricts sale purchases; the exclusions are by brand (Gucci, Fendi, Chanel beauty, David Yurman, Marla Aaron, Foundrae) and gift cards. A 70%-off piece bought through TopCashback still earns.
Will I owe duties on delivery?
Not in the US. Farfetch ships DDP: duties are calculated and added at checkout, so the total you see is the total you pay. Cashback is calculated on item price only, so duties don't earn.
Is Farfetch Access still running under Coupang?
Yes. Five tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Private Client) set by 12-month spend. Silver and up get free shipping; Private Client gets priority support. Farfetch doesn't publish the spend thresholds.
Why can't I find Gucci or Saint Laurent?
Kering pulled its brands from Farfetch in February 2024 after the Coupang acquisition. Gucci still appears through third-party boutiques, which is why it's a cashback exclusion, but the selection is thin.
How do returns work?
14 days from delivery for the item to arrive back at the originating boutique, with a free prepaid DHL or UPS label. US duties are refunded. Final Sale items are non-returnable.
